Scenic
Walks in Fife Full or Half Day
At
Shell Bay on Fifes south coast, we walk on grassy wild flower
carpeted cliff tops. Your guide has an extensive knowledge
of wild flowers and will accompany you on this part of the
walk. Looking up, you will have stunning views of the broad
sweep of Earlsferry Bay and picturesque Earlsferry, which
is your destination. The Isle of May can be seen in the distance
and south across the Firth of Forth, Edinburgh, North Berwick
and the Pentland Hills. A wide range of sea birds may also
be seen. Now to Norman's Law, an ancient heather clad Iron
Age Fort with the best panoramic views in Fife. Total distance
for the two walks is 4 miles/6 km.
At Falkland (see House and Gardens
Tour) we complete a gentle walk of 2.5miles/4 km, between
East and West Lomond Hills, all downhill, on a well made up
track to your pick up point. From this heathery track see
virtually the whole of Fife, north beyond the Tay estuary
to the Grampian Mountains and south to Edinburgh and the distant
Pentland Hills. Short excursion to Iron Age fort. As an Alternative,
Falkland Palace and gardens can be visited.
